Last updated: October 12, 2026. Our tours are not on sale yet. This page takes effect when they are, and we may refine it before then.
Who we are
This website is operated by Achievementology, LLC, doing business as The3DTravel.com, PO Box 3111, Idaho Springs, CO 80452, USA. For anything about your personal information, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- When you write to us: your email address and what you tell us.
- When you join our waitlist: your email address, where you would like to walk with us if you tell us, the page you signed up on, and when. We do not record your IP address for the waitlist.
- When you buy a tour (once tours are on sale): your name, email address and booking details. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card number.
- When you visit this website: technical information our servers record, such as your IP address and browser, and the cookies the site needs to work (for example to keep a shopping cart).
The tour app
- No account needed: when you first open a tour, the app creates an anonymous guest profile and a record of your device. You do not need to give a name or email to use a tour.
- Your booking: the email address and booking details from where you bought (this website or a marketplace) are used to send your access code.
- What syncs from your phone: codes you redeem, tours you download, your progress, and the places you mark as visited, favorite or want to return. Visits are synced without location coordinates.
- Location: used on your phone only after you tap to use your location, to show where you are and start stops. It is not stored as a history of where you walked.
- IP addresses: used to protect access codes against abuse, and cleared after 90 days, once the country and region they come from have been noted as an anonymous statistic.
Other retention periods for app data, and tools to export or delete it, will be listed here before tours go on sale.
How we use it
To deliver the tours you buy and send your access email, to answer your messages, to keep the site secure and working, to understand in aggregate where our customers come from, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Who helps us
Service providers that process information for us: our web host (Liquid Web), Cloudflare (security and delivery), our email delivery provider (Mailgun) and, once tours are on sale, our payment provider. If you book through a marketplace such as Viator, it shares the booking details we need to deliver your tour.
Cookies
Right now this site uses only the cookies it needs to work. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add them, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and update this page.
How long we keep it
- Orders: as long as accounting and tax law require. The IP address recorded with an order is kept for seven years, to check for fraud, resolve payment disputes and keep tax records, and is then removed. The order itself stays.
- Where purchases come from: when you buy, we note the country, region and, where reliable, city of your IP address, and keep that indefinitely as a statistic that is not linked to you or to your order.
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We use it only to email you about tours going on sale and new tours.
- Messages: as long as needed to help you.
- Marketplace bookings: the marketplace’s own privacy policy covers what it collects. Marketplaces generally do not share your IP address with us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or export your personal information, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will respond within the time the law sets. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the US and elsewhere.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and show the date at the top.
